Watch Videos Together Online
Mzelo is a free watch party platform where you can watch videos together online with synced controls and real social features in the same room — chat, voice, camera, emojis, and flying reactions.
Anything you can watch, together
- YouTube — synced player with shared queue and playlist import.
- Streaming sites via the Virtual Browser (cloud browser) or Web Player (direct URL).
- Direct video URLs — MP4, M3U8, and live streams (use the
live: prefix).
- Screen share with audio (Chromium browsers).
- Local files — stream a downloaded video with subtitles from your device.
Great for
- Friend groups and movie nights.
- Remote hangouts and online communities.
- Long-distance relationships and family group sessions.
- Weekly video clubs — trailer reactions, creator content, music videos.
- Casual co-working or chill sessions with background content.
How it works in five minutes
- Open mzelo.com/app (web) or the Android app.
- Create a room from the lobby's plus button.
- Share the room URL with friends.
- Pick a watch mode and hit play.
- Enable mic/camera when you feel like it — chat, GIFs, and emojis work from the start.
No download for viewers
Participants can join from any modern browser without installing anything. The streamer does need a Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Edge, Opera) for screen share with audio. For everyone else, any browser works.
Social layer on top of every video
Watching alone and watching together are different experiences because of the social layer, not the video. Mzelo keeps both running at the same time:
- Text chat with GIFs and custom emoji reactions.
- Flying emojis — tap once and an emoji floats across everyone's screen simultaneously.
- Voice and camera — turn on only when you want, mute when you don't.
- Per-user controls — ignore or hush anyone without kicking them out.
- Games — Chess and Draw & Guess run inside the same room as a break between videos.
